Kylie Bancroft, MSW, LICSW

Mental Health Counselor

It is my hope that therapy feels like a safe, compassionate, and curious space to explore who you are, who you hope to be, and looking back at where you’ve come.

Kylie’s therapeutic approach is person-centered, meaning the work will be intuitive and dynamic to each client’s individual needs and personhood. Kylie understands that a large part of a person’s healing process is built upon the therapeutic relationship and utmost priority is focused on the client’s ability to feel safe and seen within this space. She recognizes that vulnerability and courage go hand in hand for every client, and that therapy is used as a conductor to nurture the client’s insight into their own strengths.

Using a trauma-informed groundwork, Kylie acknowledges that how we think, feel, interact with others, and how we make decisions is heavily influenced by our past. Perhaps you have old wounds that have not been tended to. Kylie uses a whole-person mentality in addressing the ways in which a person’s past may be affecting their present and empowering her clients in their innate ability to heal.

Kylie offers individual therapy for adults 21 and older via telemedicine appointments only. She uses a range of integrated therapeutic techniques incorporating physical, cognitive, and emotional modalities, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)
  • Mindfulness, and other breathing modalities.

Kylie also provides faith-based counseling services from a Christian perspective for those who wish to incorporate their faith and hope into their healing journey.

Kylie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of NH and graduate of the UNH Masters in Social Work program. She is also a candidate for licensure as a Master Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC) in the State of NH.

What to Expect from the First Appointment?

Initial sessions last 75 minutes. The first appointment will provide an opportunity for you to share your reasons for exploring psychotherapy, and for the two of us to discuss the best treatment approach. We will outline a plan for treatment, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the therapeutic process. You will be asked to complete all intake paperwork online prior to your first appointment.
