Marisa Palmisano, RYT- 200, is a graduate of the YogaLife Institute’s 200-hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training program. After attending a weekly yoga class with her mother when she was only 13 years old, Marissa began to see the benefits of yoga from an early age. In her early 20’s, yoga became much more than a physical practice for her, as the vast world of yoga philosophy and physical practice helped alleviate intense bouts of anxiety. In addition to providing her with immediate stress- relief, yoga has given her a series of tools to work with during all the ups and downs of life. Marissa’s passion for yoga has created a desire to share it with others. Her open- mindfulness and enthusiastic personality makes it especially easy to feel comfortable in her class. She will encourage questions and weave in lessons of acceptance, patience, presence and compassion while teaching yoga postures, sequences, breathing exercises and meditation. She values the learning process greatly and promotes an open environment, making sure each person feels welcome and comfortable.
“On this (yoga) path no effort is wasted, no gain is ever reversed; even a little of this practice will shelter you from great sorrow.”– the Bhagavad Gita
